Natural disasters involving cyclone, flood, fire and drought are a natural part of life in Queensland. The Church understands that what is required to survive and grow in the face of adversity is sound faith and practical assistance.
While we always appreciate and encourage prayers, on this page you will find links to useful resources including tips for where assistance may be found, how to make up baskets of hope, advice on what to do and some useful stories of survival.
Our Bishop encourages us all, especially in times of adversity, to be leaders in our community preparations and responses to disasters and to be good neighbours.
Congregations are always encouraged to ‘make a difference’ in their community
